- Graduated at the Warsaw University Physics Faculty
- 1986-1991 Assistant at the Warsaw University Physics Faculty
- 1991 PhD in Physics
- Professor since 2009
- Between 1991 and 1998 worked at the CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research in Geneva on designing and construction of Large Hadron Collider experiments
- After coming back to Poland employed in the Andrzej Sołtan Institute for Nuclear Studies at Świerk; 2006-2011 the director of the institute.
- 2011-2015 the director of National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) at Otwock-Świerk, Poland.
